That's Not My Neighbor is a puzzle game whose mechanics might remind you of the excellent Papers, Please, where you take on the role of a building's doorman. The problem is that, for a reason unbeknownst to everyone, cities are full of dreaded doppelgangers (creatures that try to impersonate people and kill them when no one's watching). So it's up to you to make sure none of them can get into the building and start killing.
A totally bizarre setting
That's Not My Neighbor is set in 1955. But in this 1955, doppelgangers have become such a serious threat that the government has had to create the Doppelganger Detection Department (D.D.D.) to combat them. With this in mind, you'll start working as the doorman of your building and endeavor to spot any creature that tries to impersonate one of your real neighbors. The slightest mistake can end in tragedy, so you must pay close attention to every detail.
Easy to learn, difficult to master
Learning how to play That's Not My Neighbor is very easy, but if you don't want any of these monsters to sneak in, you'll have to pay attention in the tutorial. Luckily, you'll be explained everything you need to know in under five minutes. Essentially, you'll have to check that all your neighbors have their ID cards and entry permits. You'll also need to check that there are no false documents and that their appearance matches the picture in their profile. If you're sure it is a regular person after carrying out all the checks, you should open the door. If not, chances are you're dealing with a doppelganger and should call the D.D.D.
Equal parts laughs and scares
Download That's Not My Neighbor and discover a game that perfectly combines two contrasting aspects: horror and humor. This is a very fun video game that also has beautiful visuals and charming character designs. In this Demo version, you'll meet half a dozen neighbors, plus a few doppelgangers who will try to trick you.
